The Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles celebrates its 40th anniversary edition and we’re not limiting the celebration to just one day, but to a full birthday weekend. On Saturday 25 April, we kick off the festivities with the Persil Kids Mile and the brand new Baloise Antwerp 5 Miles. On Sunday 26 April, it’s time for the iconic race: the Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles, the biggest running celebration in the country. Three distances, three unique courses, one unforgettable anniversary atmosphere in the heart of Antwerp. Discover below what awaits you.
The 10 Miles remains the iconic highlight of the weekend. For this anniversary edition, the course features several exciting updates, bringing even more city experience to the race. What can you expect?
- A faster approach towards the motorway and the iconic Kennedytunnel.
- Via the Bolivartunnel, you reach the right bank earlier and cover more kilometres in the city centre.
- New passages through Zuidpark, straight towards the KMSKA and a lively loop around Marnixplaats.
- Via Kloosterstraat, the river quays and the MAS, the course heads towards the Waaslandtunnel.
- Finish between the trees, cheered on by thousands of supporters in the grandstands.
The familiar tunnels remain a true highlight. The iconic city landmarks create a unique atmosphere. With these additions, we’re making 40 years of Baloise Antwerp 10 Miles an even greater running celebration.
New for this anniversary edition: the Baloise Antwerp 5 Miles. An accessible and atmospheric course on the Left Bank, perfect for kicking off the weekend on Saturday. What can you expect?
- The same start and finish location as Sunday’s 10 Miles.
- The first two kilometres are identical, offering a stunning view of Antwerp’s skyline across the River Scheldt.
- After that, you turn right for a scenic loop around Galgeweel, surrounded by greenery.
- Via Beatrijslaan and a few additional loops, you head towards a magnificent finish between the trees and alongside the supporter grandstand.
A fast and vibrant course that forms the highlight of the first day of the anniversary weekend.
The Persil Kids Mile is the shortest distance of the weekend, but without a doubt the biggest running celebration for our youngest participants. On Saturday, enthusiastic kids enjoy their very own start moment, their own course and their own glorious finish. With just as much atmosphere, encouragement and a well-earned medal. Because for them too: taking part is winning.
